Mozilla and Epic Games aims to bring Unreal Engine 3 onto Firefox

Mozilla, the company behind web browser Firefox has recently announced that they are working closely with Epic Games, the developer of blockbusters Gears of War and Infinity Blade on making their Unreal Engine 3 available in browser.

Mozilla aims to encourage development of some high-profile games on Firefox using this piece of technology, enabling 3D visuals competitive enough to match those on native apps.

"To make these advancements, Mozilla developed a highly-optimized version of JavaScript that supercharges a developer's gaming code in the bwser to enable visually compelling, fast, 3D gaming experiences on the Web"
