HTC One Series Set To Launch in Malaysia: 2nd of April

The all-new HTC One series consists of three smartphones. First up in line is its flagship model, the HTC One X offering a 4.7-inch, quad core Tegra 3-powered beast encased in a polycarbonate white shell. It runs on the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwhich OS along with HTC's very own HTC Sense 4.0. Besides being the first quad-core HTC smartphone, it is also integrated with a vastly improved camera technology, named as the Image Sense which is supposedly powerful enough to take photos in under 0.7 seconds!
Next up is the HTC One V, branded as the "essential smartphone" which is the most affordable of all. The HTC One V sports a simple design with a 3.6-inch screen, runs on a 1GHz processorand a 5-megapixel camera which is suitably more than enough.
Last but not least, is the HTC One S which is actually the mid-ranged smartphone but judging from teasers of some telco companies, it seems that we'll be missing the device in Malaysia. Nothing much to worry though especially since the One X and V will make its way here.
Remember, 2nd of April 2012, 11am, Pavillion KL!

Temple Run Now Available on Android Devices

Be prepared, for the oh-so-addictive-and-popular iOS game is now set to go on Android. Temple Run, as I'm sure most of you have already heard of it before and even played it on a friend's iPhone or iPod or iPad, is now finally available on Android after quite a long wait.
However, for those uninitiated, this is what the game is about - "You've stolen the cursed idol from the temple, and now you have to run for your life to escape the Evil Demon Monkeys nipping at your heels. Test your reflexes as you race down ancient temple walls and along sheer cliffs. Swipe to turn, jump and slide to avoid obstacles, collect coins and buy power ups, unlock new characters, and see how far you can run!". Or in simpler terms, these are the main things you need to do - run, jump, slide, turn and run!
The iOS version of Temple Run has already been downloaded for more than 40 million times, and is currently the 7th most-popular free activity in the App Store; and like it's iOS counterpart, the Android version is also free.. pretty sure it's gonna climb the Play Store ranks also, no?

What Would My 3D World be with LG Optimus 3D?

You got that all wrong. 3D is possible on smartphones and LG's Optimus 3D is one of the earliest phones employing the latest technology. Personally, I have always been a fan of 3D and it being on a smartphone would really enhance the overall feel. Yes, images will pop-out, Avatar will soar high like it was in a cinema (maybe, I never liked watching movies on phones anyway) but one of the key things of 3D, which many people miss out, is for gaming. But no, I'm not talking about 3D Angry Birds or 3D Cut the Rope, I'm talking about the so-called 'hardcore' games like Shadow Gun and Dead Space.
More information on LG's Optimus 3D here.

Actually, they have been to Malaysia before in 2010 and was supposed to return last year. The Best of Digi Smart Plan With Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Digi very well understands what we as consumers want and tries its best to adhere to our demands - affordable prices, stable, high-speed broadband, a strong customer service experience, and of course, to offer the latest smartphones at the cheapest rate.

Google employees placing the Ice Cream Sandwich mascot in place in front of Google's hq.
Recently, Google unveiled its Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update while Samsung Galaxy Nexus was the first, and up till now the only phone to be integrated with it. If you ask me, this update is extremely important for Android smartphones as the last I remembered was the mere 2.3 something Gingerbread - which is totally outdated among its rivals.

Blizzard Hinting That Diablo 3 Is Releasing Soon? [UPDATE]

Waiting for Diablo 3 to release is like waiting for the world to end - no release date is real. However, a recent move by Blizzard may suggest that Diablo 3 will be out sooner than we might have expected. After the recent WoW server maintenance, a Diablo 3 icon was revealed on the Battle.net account page. Blizzard previously commented that they are "targeting a Q2 launch for Diablo 3" somewhere in between April and June and though this doesn't solidly prove that Blizzard is going to announce its release date soon, here's hoping that it's gonna be earlier.
Thanks to James for the tip on our Facebook Page.

Best Uses of Casinos in Video Games

wants to log on to a casino site and play the games that are on offer there. Casino games
have been successfully incorporated into a number of video games over the years. Playing
games as characters and trying to reach the different levels while enjoying the casino aspects
of the games, can give the game a whole new perspective.
One of the earliest products to use a casino theme as one of its levels was Sonic the
Hedgehog 2. Casino Night was just one of the levels that were available to players, alongside
Mystic Cave and Emerald Hill. This is one of the game’s multi-player levels, so that more
than one player can take part and they are able to compete against each other. The casino
level has also been used in other Sonic games.
Hard Rock Casino was launched for the PlayStation 2. Players have a choice of properties
and can opt for one of 22 different casino games including different types of poker, slots
and roulette. The player is able to create an avatar and by winning games and tournaments
unlocks different style options for the avatar. Tutorials can help the player along with certain
games if they are unsure of the rules or the skills needed.

A scene in Fallout: New Vegas
One of the latest games to incorporate casino technology is Fallout: New Vegas. This is a
futuristic game that is part of the Fallout series and the player is trying to retrieve a platinum
casino chip. There are various levels and challenges and the setting is a post-apocalyptic
Las Vegas, with a number of casinos still in place in the city. The player is able to go into the
casinos to take part in several traditional casino games including roulette, blackjack and slots.
PlayStation Home has also announced plans to add a variety of new games. There is to
be a casino game space included there which will allow the users to play more games like
Casino War and standard casino games such as slots, poker and blackjack. By playing these
games in PlayStation Home the user can win rewards such as avatar outfits and furniture for
the Home space. The aim of this casino is to give gamers the atmosphere of a real casino at
home. It is an alternative to an online casino as there is no money involved, it is simply the
opportunity to play and learn skills while having fun at the same time.
Multiplayer options are becoming increasingly popular, as both video and online games have
gone way beyond the single player format. Options such as party poker are ideal for those
who want to get together with friends and have fun while doing something a little different.
Not everyone can stretch to a night out at a traditional casino, and with these modern
alternatives, we can have a go without the need for dressing up and splashing the cash.

Angry Birds Space Takes Over NASA, Announces New Features
Angry Birds is taking over the world. Merchandises of the franchise have been mushrooming all over the world with soft toys and shirts and bags and cakes...you name it, all taking over the world! But they aren't stopping anytime soon - they are expanding their reign to the space. In fact, they have already taken over NASA in their International Space Station. Yes, NASA as in the National Aeronautics and Space Administration! (lol I actually googled it)
Their latest announcement features NASA astronaut Don Pettit flinging an Angry Bird in his space station, showing and explaining to us the trajectory and space physics of throwing things in space. So basically, that concept will be applied in the new Angry Birds Space, which will be available for download for the iOS, Android, PC and Mac start March 22.

Must-Knows of the new iPad: Retina Display, Faster, Thicker

The iPad 3, the iPad HD...everyone was expecting Apple to reveal one of them but after Apple's latest event, what was revealed was simply named the new iPad. Yep, it's just called the...new iPad. Note how the "new" isn't even officially capitalised? So technically, it should just be called the iPad but since its fresh from Cook's oven, we call it new. (:
Retina Display
Apple is all about displays and pixel count, and when it unveiled its Retina Display for the iPhone, everyone wanted it for the iPad. Hence, the new iPad now boasts a 9.7-inch Retina Display featuring a resolution of 2048 x 1536-pixel; or in simpler terms, a higher resolution than a standard 1080p HDTV. This, is said to have 4 times as many pixels and have a 44% greater image saturation than the iPad 2.
Greater graphics
What good is the display if the graphics processor lacks behind? The new iPad will use a new A5X quad-core graphics processor which is said to be four times much faster than Nvidia's Tegra 3. One thing for sure is that the chip will be essential for the Retina Display to work in full fledged - as Apple also added that "the Retina Display on the new iPad wouldn't be possible without the new and powerful A5X chip."

Official Assassins Creed 3 Trailer Confirms American Revolution Setting

After days and months of waiting, with rumours, spoilers and leakage cropping out of every corner of the internet, there's finally an official announcement on Assassins Creed 3. And yes, the rumours are true, there will be a change of setting and scenery, and the plot will be based on the American Revolution between the Brits and the, Americans obviously. Though nothing has been said about the supposedly new protagonist named Connor, the trailer did tell us that tree-travelling will be possible and will play a big part of the game considering most battle sequences seem to partake in the dense, snowy, alpine trees.
What do you think about the change of setting during the American Revolution?

Digi Fandroid Day at Headquarters with Google and Samsung

At the event, they had a booth with various types of Samsung Android smartphones for us to toy with before the event officially starts.

And this is the Samsung Galaxy Note! I'm going to be honest that this is NOT my sketch/drawing, but you've got to admit its pretty darn good right. Personally, I found the ability to sketch and draw really attracting. However, the only downside is that it can get laggy at times and the size of this thing is simply too big (as a phone)!

But ultimately, it was the Samsung Galaxy Nexus that caught my attention. It is the only smartphone in Malaysia who officially has a 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwhich Operating System, and thus boasting many interesting features. In fact, the Galaxy Nexus and Google's Android 4.0 ICS is what the event is all about.
