Final Fantasy V for iOS and Chaos Rings for Windows Phone unleashed

Square Enix, famed for their Final Fantasy franchise among many other top-notch games like Dues Ex, has been venturing into the up-and-coming all-the-hype mobile platforms.
The publisher has recently announced that they have added 2 new mobile games into their portfolio, with Final Fantasy V for iOS devices and a very surprising but long-needed addition of Chaos Rings for Windows Phones.
Chaos Rings, a "tale of love and loss 10,000 years in the making" will see five couples summoned around the world to take on each other till death in a tournament. The game revolves around their battle and their purpose in doing so, where they are fighting and why exactly are they needed to fight. Personally, look out for its graphics. Priced at $9.99 at the Windows Marketplace.

Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 confirmed for end of November Australian release
Though announced more than a month ago, the actual product have yet to reach public market and even after the official Windows Phone 8 event, Nokia doesn't seem too sure about release dates yet. This is one of the biggest obstacles from allowing Nokia to regain market share (I believe and hope they will) as availability dates and pricings are actually essential influences on our decisions.
But this issue is settled.
Along with announcements in other parts of the world, Nokia Australia has recently confirmed when it's flagship Lumia 920, along with it's mid-range counterpart Lumia 820, will hit the land down under. However, again, it was only announced as "from the end of November" with no exact dates were given. I suppose only time will tell in hopes that as each day passes, an exact date will be announced before more potential buyers make a decision to get another phone.
That said, the Lumia 920 will only be available exclusively from Telstra at A$829, in black, white, red and yellow (where's the cyan?) while the Lumia 820 will be retailing at A$649 from Vodafone, Optus and other leading retailers. Pre-orders for the Lumia 920 from Telstra is expected to start this week (4 November). Meanwhile, be notified at http://www.telstra.com.au/nokia.
I can honestly say that with my cyan Lumia 900 in hand, I can't wait to try my hands on the Lumia 920 and experience first hand the changes.

4 Xbox 360 dashboard updates you should know

Over the course of next week starting from today, login to your Xbox Live and you might just realise a slight change. It won't be a big change, and not completely revolutionary - the user interface in its basics will stay the same, the tiles will stay, the fonts will stay; and that's good, it's Microsoft's trademark now, afterall. But just look around the screen, and take a look at your tiles and you might just find out the new updates :
Internet Explorer
This, is big. It's possibly the biggest and most important update (depending on what you use) this time around as you can now go online to the web and do whatever you do on a computer, or a tablet, or a phone. Also to note that Internet Explorer supports any HTML5 videos so it can come pretty handy, though at the same time, browsing may be difficult as typing using a console, as you know, is simply not convenient at all.Xbox Video
Check around and you will notice that you can't find Zune Video Marketplace anymore. Hence, Xbox Video is now what has replaced Zune, also still providing TV shows and movies for buying or hire. Basically, similar features, a cooler name.Recent
Also a name change, what was called 'Quick Play' previously is now 'Recent'. So the next time you want to get back to your last action, just hit the Recent view up and get the list of whatever you last accessed on your console. My Pins
If you're a windows phone user, you will already know what these "pins" are all about. Basically, it's like bookmarking, or saving your favourite movies, TV shows, games, music, videos and even now websites right onto your homescreen. So the next time you want to find that movie you watch just so many times, save the long hassle and jump right into the scene from your homescreen itself.--------
And there you go the top 4 most important updates I believe will truly make a difference (or stop confusing you). It's actually really nice that the user interface haven't changed alot, and that the tiles stay. In fact, if you've noticed, more tiles are added! That's good, because I find Microsoft's tiles unique, different, special.
Oh, there's still one yet to come. It's not in this update though, but soon, really soon.
Xbox SmartGlass
Remember a few months ago during E3 when Microsoft introduced a companion app for Xbox 360 on Windows 8 PCs, tablets and smartphones? Well, this is at the moment not ready for release yet at least until the launch of Windows 8 come October 26th. Will it be a big update then? I'm thinking so but will it be revolutionary? I doubt so. The SmartGlass will probably be something as an additional fun, something you know you get so excited about at first, but slowly get bored after a while. Well, that's just what I think.Saturday, 22 September 2012
GameMaker: Studio to support Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8, another boost to Marketplace
One of the most easiest and basic way of creating your own game (from scratch!) would be using GameMaker: Studio by YoYo Games. It packs a pretty simple step-by-step guide for even complete beginners to use, and once a game is completed on the program, it provides the instant ability to adapt it for applications on other platforms.
Current support includes the iOS, Android, Facebook, HTML and Windows; and recently, YoYo Games have announced that it is going to add support for the upcoming Windows 8 prior to its October 26 launch and more importantly, the Windows Phone 8 when the first of its devices are made available. This addition will give yet another boost to the Windows Phone marketplace where even more developers can have their games added into the fast-growing ecosystem.
