Valve Unveils iOS and Android Steam App [Closed Beta]

"Mobile is changing way people interact, play games and consume media, and the Steam app is part of our commitment to meet customer demands and expand the service functionality of Steam to make it richer and more accessible for everyone."Everything's going mobile these days, and Valve is definitely not gonna be left out in the dark. The company who created the likes of Portal and Counter Strike recently published it's beta Steam app for the Android and iOS platform. By using this app, users will be able to chat with their friends on Steam, join the various community groups, browse through the many collections of games, and purchase them directly from their mobile platforms - iOS and Android.
- Gabe Newell, Co-Founder of Valve
Steam is arguably the central platform for global PC gamers, and is one of the pioneers who started the venture into distributing games digitally online. Now, with this latest addition of a mobile Steam application, it will only mean that 'hardcore' gaming could be extended further, and deeper to integrate within mobile platforms - might, maybe, hopefully.
Note: This is a closed beta so it is not available for all yet. More info and possibly the beta code from Steam's Official Website here.

Nintendo Will Globally Launch Wii U By End of 2012

Nintendo's Wii U was first unveiled last year, receiving both positive and negative feedbacks. The structure on how the family console function wasn't really clear at first and the many additions/accessories of it didn't help either. It was expected that the new home console would start shipping this year, but it was only confirmed recently when Nintendo's CEO Satoru Iwata announced that they will assure the Wii U to be available globally during the holiday season (around November and December).

Xbox 720 to be Six Times More Powerful Than Xbox 360?

Microsoft's Xbox 360 has been receiving a tremendous amount of popularity recently. bundled with the Microsoft Kinect, sales of the duo has been greater than the company's expected. The Xbox 360 was unveiled in 2005 at a MTV special, and the usual 5-year console cycle has thus already ended. This year, many of us await and expect it's next generation to come. As Nintendo fiercely unleashes its Wii U, Microsoft's, as well as Sony's next-Gen consoles, dubbed as the Xbox 720 and the PS4 for the latter's, is expected to arrive in 2013 only.
But what exactly is this "next-gen" consoles? For a start, it should have a much-improved graphic capability and for the Xbox 720, first rumours suggested that it would be run on AMD's 7000 series GPU. However, latest 'sources' claimed that it would instead be run on the 6000 series, which offers support for DirectX11, multidisplay output, 3D and 1080p HD output. To cut it short and speak in simple terms, it will be 6 times more powerful than the current gen.
My Verdict: Possible

Skyrim Calculator: Your Best Companion During Maths Exams
It used to be a tool for graphing equations, until it took a hacker to the system. Oh yes, Youtuber no9sniper recently 'ported' 2011's Game of the Year onto a TI-84 graphing calculator, 'revolutionising' how extremely portable our games can now be played on. But, there's a catch to it (evidently).
The REAL Skyrim offers amazing, amazing graphics and an infinite possibility of adventures around the unending realm of Skyrim. I'm pretty sure you knew this already but the calculator version of the Elder Scrolls series doesn't provide you with anything of that sort. It's more of a 'multiple-choice' question game (which is of course text-based) where you choose what you want to do in the game. Well, at least, I can now buy weapons and kill dragons during my exams. (:
